Sometimes when we resolve to eat healthier foods, we start limiting the selection of foods that we can enjoy. Trying to cut down on calories and salt, we may try to force ourselves to only eat low fat cottage cheese and carrot sticks for lunch and dinner. This can get boring, and make your diet seem like a chore. It sure is hard to stick to boring chores! However, this doesn't have to be the case with a little ingenuity and research, you can find delicious substitutes for your former favorite, fatty foods. We have a ton of great low fat, low sodium recipes in our Wellness Channel that you can print out, prepare, and enjoy. Here are some sample dishes from that list:
Baked Pork Chops
These spicy and moist pork chops are made with no added fat, egg whites, evaporated skim milk, and a lively herb mixture that contains no salt.

Apple Coffee Cake
Apples and raisins provide the moistness, which means less oil can be used in this low saturated fat, low cholesterol, and low-sodium coffee cake.
